26 August (Sunday)
Launching Ceremony cum Youth Privacy Survey

The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Mr. Roderick B Woo, will kick off the PAW 2007 and unveil all related activities to the press in Hong Kong.

Results of a survey conducted by the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, will also be released.  The survey aimed at gauging young people¡¦s attitude and perception towards privacy in the cyberspace in Hong Kong.

27 August (Monday)
Seminar on Protection of Online Personal Data (exclusive for DPOC members)

A seminar will be held from 2:30 pm ¡V 4:45 pm at the Duke of Windsor Social Service Building, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

Two distinguished guests, Mr. Sean Lin, SIP of Hong Kong Police Force; and Ir. Dr. K.P. Chow, Center Associate Director of Centre for Information Security and Cryptography, the University of Hong Kong; are invited to speak on practical tips for proper handling of personal data via electronic means.

Seminar on "Creative Thinking & Blog Writing Skills" for the youth

A seminar will be held from 2 pm  - 4 pm at the Hong Kong Public Library.

Renowned writer Mr. Ong Yi Hing and DJ Mr. Francis Mak are invited to share their views with young people on online privacy protection and creative blog writing.  

To make the event more fun and interesting, a debate on ¡¡ˇÓThere is no privacy protection in the cyber world¡ÆØ will also be held.  Representations from Hong Kong Girl Guides and Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will take part in this interesting fund debate.

Closing Ceremony cum Prize Presentation Ceremony for the Writing Competition

To wrap-up the PAW 2007, a closing ceremony-cum-prize presentation ceremony of Writing Competition will be held on 31 August 2007.
 
Primary School Privacy Show close
 
imageIn view of the enthusiastic response last year, the PCPD will re-run a privacy show amongst primary schools in Hong Kong, "Telling You My Secret", from 7 to 22 March 2005. To enhance children's interests on the subject, the PCPD has invited again Mr. Harry Wong, a renown youth program host, to conduct interactive activities integrating music, magic shows, puppet shows, drama and role play to help youngsters understand the concept of privacy protection and to introduce ways of protecting their own personal data and those of their families and friends in everyday lives under a lively atmosphere. The following 20 primary schools will participate in the activity:
