Code of Practice on the Identity Card Number and other Personal Identifiers
VII. COMMENCEMENT DATE The following paragraph provides
for the date of commencement of operation of the provisions
of the Code. The provisions of Code, with the exception of paragraph
2.8, shall commence operation 6 months after the date
of approval of the Code, i.e. on 19 June 1998. Paragraph
2.8 of the Code shall commence operation 12 months after
the date of approval of the Code, i.e. on 19 December
